The journey so far

    A note from us

Hello, and thank you for being here. We are expecting our baby boy this January, and we are so grateful to share this joy with you.

At home we already call him Dallu, our little pet name for him. We think his forever name will be Vyom (व्योम, the Sanskrit word for "sky"), but we are keeping our hearts open a little longer. So for now, he is simply Dallu, our own little piece of the sky, on his way down to us.

    आयुष्मान भव:

May you live long and shine bright, little one.

We put together this small registry of things we will actually use in the early months. Every item here was picked with care, and anything you choose will be loved and well used.

If you would rather give your time, a home-cooked meal, or simply your blessings, that means just as much to us.

    With love,
    The Nepal Family

    How gifting works

    1. Pick a gift from the registry above, something you would love to give.
    2. Buy it with the "Buy on Babylist" button on the card. You will check out through our Babylist registry, which marks the gift as purchased automatically so nobody duplicates it. Prices were checked when the list was made and may have shifted slightly.
    3. Bought it somewhere else? Use "Mark as purchased" on the card and add your name so we know who to thank, then drop us a quick email too, since that mark only shows in your own browser.
    4. Prefer to let us choose? Gift cards in any amount never go to waste. You will find them at the very bottom, under Gift Cards.

Gifts bought through Babylist show as purchased here automatically. If you use the button on the card instead, your mark is saved in your own browser only, so do send us a quick email too — we want to thank every single one of you properly.

    Other ways to give

    👶

    Diaper fund

Diapers in sizes 1 and up are pure gold in the early months. Gift cards for diapers and wipes never go to waste.

    🍲

    Meal train

A home-cooked meal or a food delivery gift card in those first sleepy weeks is worth more than you know.

    📚

    Books and blessings

A favorite childhood book with a handwritten note inside becomes a keepsake for years.

    Dallu for now, but forever?

    Help us name him

We are still choosing his forever name, and we would love your ideas. Nepali, Sanskrit, or something unexpected, if you have a favorite, share it with us.

This opens your email app with the suggestion addressed to us. Nothing is posted publicly.

    Questions

    Where should gifts be shipped?

We live in the Washington DC metro area. For the shipping address, just send us a quick email and we will share it privately.

Where do I buy the gifts?

Tap "Buy on Babylist" on any gift card. It takes you to our Babylist registry, which keeps track of what has already been purchased so nothing gets duplicated. Gift cards link straight to their own stores.

Should I include a gift receipt?

Yes, please. Gift receipts make exchanges painless if we end up with duplicates.

What if something is out of stock?

No worries at all. Anything similar from a trusted brand works, or pick another item from the list.

Can I give something that is not on the list?

Of course. Books and muslin cloths are always welcome.

Can a few of us go in together on a bigger gift?

Absolutely, we love that idea. Just mark it as purchased once it is sorted so nobody duplicates it.

Who can see my purchase details?

If you buy through Babylist, it is marked as purchased there automatically. If you use the "Mark as purchased" button on this page instead, your name, store, and message are saved in your own browser only, which is why we ask you to also send us a quick email. The order number is optional; only share it if you are comfortable with it being visible.
